Other advantages of sealing the stone is because by nature, natural stone is porous and can better manage discolouration and the forming of lichen, algae or moss.
If subjected to prolong damp and wet weather, such as rain, which is an inevitable fact of Australia’s climate, can create an appropriate environment for lichen, algae or moss to grow. If the growth is not removed in its early stages it may darken the stone. Dark soils may also darken natural stone surfaces.
Dependent on the finish you seek, where applicable, the colour of your grout can enhance the look of your stone wall.
